Statement in Support of Racial Equality
For over 30 years, FamilyCare has been dedicated to helping every member of the family and every member of the community regardless of race and social-economic background. As an organization that has assisted with the delivery of thousands of babies of diverse ethnicities, we firmly believe that everyone has the right to equality.
The recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, along with the subsequent protests, reminds us that our country has not achieved equality for all. We must work together to create a culture where skin color does not determine how you are treated.
FamilyCare Health Centers is unequivocally committed to equality and justice for all. We support nonviolent efforts to stop systemic racism and violence. Inclusion and respect for diversity are essential to creating the world we want to provide for current and future generations.
We acknowledge that the lives of our black patients, employees, and community members matter. We will continue to show dignity and respect to those in need of our services. We will continue to support actions that unite our country and treat cultural differences as a reason to embrace each other and not a reason to discriminate.
Signed,
The FamilyCare Health Center Board of Directors
