FamilyCare Health Centers will be holding a food drive during National Health Center Week, from August 8th to 12th, to benefit local families in need. Food donations can be dropped off at any of FamilyCare’s 15 locations across Kanawha, Boone, Putnam and Cabell Counties. Donations will be promoted on social media throughout the length of the drive.

Each region will be competing to bring in the most food over the course of the week. At the conclusion of the drive, FamilyCare will use its fleet of mobile units to distribute the food that’s been collected to members of the community at designated spots throughout its four-county service area.

“The theme for this year’s National Health Center Week is to reiterate that community health centers help make up the chemistry for strong communities,” said Tim Nunnery, marketing and communications manager for FamilyCare Health Centers. “In aligning with this theme and our mission to build healthier communities, we are encouraging donors and businesses in our area to strengthen those bonds so that we can ensure that families are cared for.”
