Affordable, Accessible Healthcare
We offer physicals, vaccinations, health screenings, and testing for illnesses to identify health problems early. We treat minor illnesses and provide care for people with long-term health conditions.
Our OB/GYN team provides a full range of care to meet all of your women’s health needs. Services include routine gynecologic care and surgery, birth control and family planning, menopause care, health screenings, basic fertility evaluation, and education.
We help our patients achieve the highest possible level of wellness through services that combine physical care with behavioral health care. Our therapists provide counseling for mental health and behavioral issues such as anger management, depression, anxiety, coping with grief or loss, drug and alcohol dependency, trauma, self-esteem, stress management, eating disorders, memory problems, sleep difficulty, cutting, ADHD, relationship concerns, or any other stressful life situation.
Our pediatric team provides total health care for children. Our services include newborn care, immunizations, regular checkups, sick visits, physicals, care and referrals for children with disabilities, and vision and hearing screening.
We believe that healthy kids learn better. School-based care is one of the most effective ways to make sure that all students have access to high-quality health care when they need it. We work with schools in Putnam, Kanawha, and Boone counties to offer medical, behavioral health, and dental services to students and faculty.
Throughout your pregnancy, you are treated as an equal partner in your care. Prenatal appointments allow your family to explore the emotional and physical changes that come with pregnancy. We offer physician and nurse-midwife services and support, ultrasounds, prenatal testing, and childbirth preparation.
Our psychiatry team provides assessment and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Treatment plans vary depending on the particular needs and circumstances of the patient and may include a range of options from psychotherapy to medication.
We offer immediate medical care for accident or illness at our St. Albans location. No appointment is needed. Our x-ray/ radiology service helps us provide complete care to our patients and is an alternative to the emergency room.
Whether you choose to deliver your baby at the FamilyCare OB/GYN & Birth Center or at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital, our nurse-midwives and physicians will help guide and support you during this special time. Our team provides epidural anesthesia and non-drug options such as warm water therapy. We also offer one-on-one support, breastfeeding support, and complete postpartum and newborn care.
Our OB/GYN & Birth Center offers a personalized and family-friendly atmosphere for women to give birth and is covered by most major insurance plans, including WV Medicaid.
We offer medication-assisted therapy (MAT) and medication-free therapy for adults with a dependence on opioids, alcohol, and tobacco. Our medication-assisted therapy program includes counseling and medication, Suboxone. We work with our patients to choose the method that works best for them.
FamilyCare offers full dental services for anyone age three and older. We provide oral health assessments, cleanings, fluoride treatments, x-rays and sealants. We accept most dental insurance plans, including WV Medicaid and CHIP. We also offer discounts for uninsured patients.
Good nutrition is a key factor in both preventing and improving conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, and high blood pressure. Our registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) provides dietary and nutrition support to assist patients achieve optimal nutritional and medical health.
Many factors affect a person’s overall health and wellness beyond their immediate medical needs. Our social workers help patients address a wide variety of life challenges and needs so they can achieve the highest level of wellness possible.

Chronic care management is a voluntary, telephonic support service that coordinates care for those with chronic conditions.
Our diabetes self-management education program (DSME) is the cornerstone of diabetes care, treatment, and prevention. Diabetes education is available for all patients, regardless of age. FamilyCare offers group and individual sessions.
